Anaheim

Well we're here and I don't think our feet have touched the ground. Oh, yes they have but haven't finished walking etc. Arrived in late after an hours delay and fairly much straight to bed. Early start yesterday and coach down to the Mexican border for some shopping. Many took the opportunity to buy an extra bag to bring even more stuff home. We spent a bit of time around Old Town where San Diego was first established and then onto the ice hockey match. Wow, what a match! We lost to the current leaders by one goal (3-4) but it was high tension excitement and action the whole time. I don't think I've heard our students cheer so much.
Today we're off to Knott's Berry Farm for action packed rides etc. Its getting difficult to find time to process the photos and get internet time. I'll see how it goes.
Cheers
Gordon

  3. Rachelle and friends,
It has been a heat wave back here! Too hot to go out, except we went to the Aust Open Tennis at Olympic Park and fried! Your brother got Serena Williams to sign a ball and we won a signed t-shirt signed by Safina!

Looking at the forecast - you are all going to walk back into another heat wave next week.

See you at the airport on Monday morning, sounds like I'll need to bring the trailer!

  6. Hey Nic
We've just arrived home (Friday night) from Hawks Nest and the first thing we've done is look at all the photos and updates on the blog. Thanks Mr & Mrs Vick - it's been wonderful to see snippets of all your adventures. Nic - I had one last swim at the beach for you just before we left - it was late afternoon, the sun was shining, the water was beautiful and the waves were just perfect - dad was even tempted to go in until the shark alarm went off!!! Looking forward to seeing you all on Monday morning.
    Love Mum, Dad and Jake

  7. To the fabulous Mr and Mrs Vick.
Thank you so much for your great stories and photos. We just got back from our "family" holiday in Queensland last night that was a fair bit quieter than usual. No bickering brothers! It was great to keep track of Sams adventures at the local internet cafe via your excellent blog.
The only proof we have that he is still with you are your pictures!
Thanks again, you've done a brilliant job.
    Safe trip home.
